Band 5.5 IELTS Task 2 Advantages/Benefits outweigh Disadvantages/Drawbacks

The city of Manila, which is the capital of the Philippines and also a business district, is one of the most congested cities in the country, with over 12 million people in 2015. Some developed and developing countries government are pushing businesses to regional areas to decongest and expose other places to become developed. I do believe that there are disadvantages such as communications and materials needed but the advantage will outweigh due to the possible growth of the place.

It is believed that moving businesses in the rural area will give disadvantages such as communication between other businesses in order to get supplies and material. An example of was back in 2000, where a mall was built in the middle of a farm instead of a business area already, the transport of hardware supplies was a quagmire because heavy equipment cannot move due to the softness of the land hence building road was priorities and made the construction of the mall delayed for about few years. Moreover, contacting clients from a farm area to a city was a challenge, trying to get the communication signal hence, building more infrastructure was needed.

However, because of this, the previously farmland started to have better roads and created a better transportation scheme making small businesses and residence grow dramatically. Hence, communication provider erected cellular site which made the place easily communicated and other big businesses came. Furthermore, since the place was new, the investors put more infrastructure such as call centers and another mall making this old farmland to a business center.

In conclusion, the disadvantages of relocating some businesses in the rural areas will be apparent to give more headache but the reward would be fulfilling.
